Early this morning I found Registerfly's Equifax certificate expired and right now the site is down for me.
Or is it a World Wide Web issue?

The site is down temporarily as the owners change passwords & regain control of the servers following the firing of CEO Kevin Medina.

I agree totally, they are really crap and have not lived up to their perceived reputation as a main stream registrar

I still have some lesser domains with registerfly, and more than $40 in my account. Mainly to register some $2.99 .net domains when they got that promotion, but they stopped it for a while.
But after all these latest problems with them, I prefer to use Moniker. They are a secure registrar unlike flies... that name never made much sense though... they should change it, to try to clean their image...

I have $21 in my account and kept with the same purpose :)
I got a domain from Moniker a few months ago and I can't figure out yet how to move through its control panel or how purchase more domains :\

I found their panel really intuitive. I'm yet to use their faq.
I just pre-funded my account, and now I register lots of domains without loosing time. Their bulk tool also work, unlike Registerfly's...
If you need any help pm me.
