any protection from links

is thier any protection from ad links leading to banned sites??

What do you mean exactly? Preventing banned sites from joining the network, or?

if a banned site is in the network and the link to that banned site was found on my site wouldn't that possibly hurt my rankings on the SE's.

don't get me wrong i'm not knocking the network it's just a question and concern.:)

Well since a banned site would have no content as far as Google is concerned (no pages in the index), they would have a weight of 0, and therefore would never have any ads show across the network.
