If any of you get accepted would you leave Googles Adsense to join yahoos new adsense type program ?

I don't mean just the ones that have gotten the Google ban, but any of us.

I think if it shows the pay per click is higher etc, some may leave. I will probably stay with adsense as I have had no trouble so far. It's nice having other programs to fall back on though, if needed.

The other thing I am wondering, is 'How hard will it be to get accepted by the Yahoo adsense' ? Some have already been accepted, since folks are starting to see their ads on sites. I signed up a few months back as a beta tester for it on my sites, but was never approved as of yet anyway. The one thing I have read is yahoo will have telephone numbers and live support to answer questions for their program 24 hours a day, something google lacks in is personal help........

It may turn out that the yahoo program is only for sites getting 20k visitors a month or some other variables.

20k visitors a month with some special treatments would atleast be better then overture standards which is like 20 million. So it would still be a good program for smaller webmasters, just not tiny webmasters.

I'm going to give the cliche answer: I'll test it, and if it pays more I'll switch.

Not until DP members start raving about Yahoo. Until then, Adsense is too much of a proven winner for me to abandon them.

Adsense is too much of a proven winner for me...Me too. But having an alternative does change the whole game. If Yahoo is there I'll be much less fearful of having a misunderstanding with Google. That is peace of mind.

Well said and I second that quote.

I will give it a try. The new battle between Google Adsense and Yahoo publisher program should help us earn more money.

For me it depends on the feed back of the first 2000 who tested yahoo beta

It all depends on your margings and CTR. If you get more out of Yahoo, why should you underearn by staying with Google? Another question is whether it's possible to combine both ads on the website.

Absolutely! If it pays more than google adsense then i'll definitely leave for Y! :->

YPN will pay better until it has reached its best market share. When its publisher base stops growing Adsense and YPN payouts will equalize. But Y!'s ad targeting will probably be worse than Adsense at first so there may be no initial advantage.

So it may make sense to be among the first who switch. Google will probably raise its payouts when Y! starts to offset this. The competition benefits all publishers.
