I'm not sure what "amazon script" you are talking about. You can sign up for their affiliate program here (http://www.amazon.com/gp/browse.html/ref=gw_bt_as/103-8547139-7849401?node=3435371) which allows you to build product links with your affiliate id. You can also register for their webservices (http://www.amazon.com/webservices/) program which will allow you to build more complex applications to interface with Amazon's website. There are also lots of third party scripts out there to do various things.

freekrai.com has a free one. Some of the paid ones may be better for seo.

You need to sign up for AWS (Amazon Web Services) if you want to pull product info through their APIs. At the AWS site they have plenty of information for programmers and some links to various free and commercial scripts/products for various languages. A few minutes searching at google will also come up with many alternatives.

I'm in the process of testing amazOOP (http://amazoop.sourceforge.net/) but haven't gotten far enough into it to give you much feedback. It's PHP-based and open source. From the home page:
AmazOOP is a PHP script that lets you query Amazon Web Services using the Object-Oriented Programming paradigm.
Anyone else have experiences with amazOOP they can share with me?

Google Amazon AWS scripts (http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLG,GGLG:2005-25,GGLG:en&q=amazon+AWS+scripts)....that should get you going.

Mr. Rat's script (http://www.mrrat.com/) is a pretty popular one too.

Or ask Nintendo to sell you one of his 749 amazon stores... :D

http://www.mrrat.com/ is the place to get the basic script and Nintendo, who posts here, has a nifty script (http://www.codeshq.com/webmasters/) (I've heard -- haven't used it) for adapting MrRat's script.
