Website Functional Service

I don't know what to call it; but I'm looking for a service that will go onto each of my websites once or twice a day and if any missing/non-functional sites are found - the service e-mails me.

What do you call that? And where might I find a service for that?

The Overseer Network Monitor (http://www.sensiblesoftware.com/overseer.asp) has an HTTP module. This will monitor your websites as often as you configure, and will Email you, your cell phone, or even send a Net Send message to a machine on your local network.
