If your domain is
goodstuff.com (just an example)
do you like to get the goodstuff.net and goodstuffs.com as well?
What are your preferences?

For me:
.ca (or whatever country you're from), .net, .org, .biz (anything but .info!)

no idont buy them, well right now for my forum its a good domain lol, i was lucky the .com was available, but otherwise i think its a waste of money if u wont make other sites with those alternatives, if ur just gonna redirect, its pointless really

I bought the .net and .org for several years but found that they don't sell that well. So I no longer buy them. I hate losing money by not renewing a domain name. :(
I will buy the plural of the domain name if it exists. Then I will offer them as a pair. This protects the potential buyer.
I don’t understand why everybody doesn’t do this. Domain names are cheap today when bought from the registrar and if you are going to develop a site you should be willing to spend a few extra dollars each year to protect it.
