Don't know if I put this in the right forum, but


I have setup up my Adsense ID in the Options section of my profile, and I wanted to add a Channel to analyse what came through.

So I created a Channel in my own Adsense Account at Google, and I called it DPForum

When I try to enter that in the Channel box in my profile, and press update, I get the following error message:-

"You did not enter the correct format for the Google AdSense Channel ID field. Please read the field description for the expected format."

I can't find a field description to know what I am doing wrong.

Can anyone advise?

Make sure you enter the channel number (not the name).

I don't have an Channel Numbers. On my Adsense page where I create the Channels, it only allows me to enter a name, and no number is displayed anywhere.

How can I find out the numbers?

go into the menu that gives you the ad code. tell it the channel is for DPForums (or whatever it was you named it).

look at the code it gives you

you should get something like

channel=32423

(I forget the exact code, but it should be really similar to that)
