If any domain is deleted by any domain registrar..how long does it takes for it to be available for sale again?

After the expiration date, a domain is usually placed "on hold" for a period of 30-60 days, during which the original owner has a chance to re-register it. After this period has lapsed, you can buy the domain immediately.

This was true at one time but then the Registrars thought up the Redemption period. I've seen domain names held for 6 months as Redemption period and Extended Redemption Period.

If you really want the domain name, register at several of the services such as snapnames.com, pool.com, etc. You only pay the one that catches the domain for you and the price is usually less than you can buy it from a reseller.

If you are sure the domain is really worthless then wait until it has dropped and buy it from the registrar.

Their are a lot of good domains out there that I want to purchase, and will not expire for years to come. Oh and yes, some of these domains don't even have any information on the page.

I wanted to purchase my own name for a domain name, or just my last name, but both of them are taken. They both have no content :(

They may be using it for email service.

Make the owners an offer. If they are not using them for domain parking revenue they may be reasonable in their price.

I would gladly pay several thousand for my last name as a .com but unfortunately it's also the name of a city and I doubt they would ever sell it.

But I was able to get my full name as a domain so I settled for that. It doesn't have a web site on it but I do use it for most of my email.
