Well, this is the question: where to find a $50K+ broker? Not Sedo or similar, but boutique firms and/or private brokers. Even more specifically, folks who specialize in publishing industry. Thanks for any suggestions.

Domain name forums are the best places to find experienced domainers.
They are good at buying and selling the names.

namepros forums I guess ;)
Or try to get hold of "HIGH PROFILE" expired domain name bidders thru snapnames... ... bonkers, bonkers2, fatjobby, benfranklin, vaxis

Unfortunately, forums have been hit and miss (more latter than former). Re: snapnames. That's a good idea, except how do you actually find who's behind bonkers, benfranklin, etc?

vaxis would be Veritcal Axis my guess...
Rest not a clue. If you PM me the name I might be able to refer you to some brokers if it really is a 50k name.

Bid on top domains... and see who does finally get it. Then after a few days do WHOIS lookup and email ;)

Folks, thanks for advice! I'm still looking though...
If it's REALLY GOOD domain, you may want to speak with moniker staff, they usually sell HIGH PROFILE names in auctions.

Thanks, but I'm looking for boutique firms and/or private brokers, not Moniker and Sedo. I've dealt with them in the past, and they're good in certain areas, and incompetent in others. My situation is the "other".
