What is your favourite article submission directory?

There are hundreds of article directories out there but some just seem like a waste of time. Which ones do you think are the best in terms of backlink creation as well as generating hits?

http://ezinearticles.com/ has been the best for me by far. One of my articles got picked up many times and has created awesome backlinks! :)

Isnare.com and ezinearticles are 2 good ones. Article Dashboard isnt that bad as well. Isnare has a distribution service. Check it out. :)

Just submit to the big ones listed above, some of the small ones arent even worth it. You Isnare's distribution service and the small ones will pick up your articles. :)

I used to say that you should submit to as many as possible, but i'm really starting to believe in the statement above more and more.

The thing is that these sites are the only ones that ever really get articles republished. And that, in the long run, is what you want to do.

I submit to 4 article directories only and they are ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com, isnare.com and searchwarp.com

Ezinearticles, however, I've found that once submitted to ezine, many other directories pick up the article for their inventory. So, if you are limited on time, post to ezine, then search for an exact phrase in your article and watch the list of postings increase. Allow some time as it may take a week or two for the page the article is on to get cached.

The best thing 'for links' to is re-write your article for each directory. This reduces the chance of it being looked at as duplicate content and only counted once.

Huh? The purpose of article directories IS duplication. Others download the article and post to their site.
