Is there any update in yahoo?

I have seen backlinks are coming to my new sites. Also more and more pages are getting indexed. Hope I'll get some good position in yahoo soon. But I also think that it is normal at yahoo. I see backlinks update very frequently.

For me I see frequent updates to Yahoo BLs on all of my sites, unlike google it seems that they do not wait 3 months to 'export' results in terms of BLs. Mind you the key thing to check here should be to check SERPs positioning because that's what drives traffic.:)

Last major Yahoo update I've seen was in November as I remember. In the meantime I saw only minor shuffling.

I saw backlinks updating from yahoo every day, but for ranking, it's not.

my istes recieved 10% more traffic from yahoo last week, but this week its back to normal, maybe the update still occuring

They usually roll out an update in a short period of time. I doubt the update from Dec. 12th is still going.

You damn right. Google export BL every 3 months. Yahoo seems to be updating their BL every week. IMO

Does it mean... google is slow and yahoo is fast. And what I guess, to stay standing in competition search engines must have updates more frequently. SE should have updated its database.

And hence, does it means Google is on the track of downward and yahoo is at up??

I may be bit wrong. Or Google updates its data frequently but do not show it till 3 months?

What I believe is Google is not showing Backlinks & PR update frequently. But internally they are doing on regular interval and Google SERP is also changes very frequently nowadays.

Right! Yahoo! and MSN update frequently as does Google but Google only shows the updateded figures every 3 months or so.
