Netscape Search (http://channels.netscape.com/ns/search/default.jsp) is pretty cool because it has previews. :p

Netscape search is Google search, sort of like A9.
If you want to see a true preview search engine concept see the following.

The screen shots are kinda neat. Not enough to get me to switch tho...

I've never noticed that before twistermc - pretty cool, especially since it is the actual page.
The ICQ stuff is nice, but they are just showing the images from thumbshots.org, which are typically the top page and not neccessarily the sub-URL returned - i.e. check out the results from this search (http://google.icq.com/search/results.php?q=halloween+decorations) which shows my halloween decorations (http://www.komar.org/halloween/) page as #2 (non-sponsored) ... but the thumbnail next to it is my TOP page. We're seeing more of this - for instance, Ice Rocket does the same thing.

Wow that icq one is cool too since they show them right away. Sweet.

Netscape is just showing sponsored links as previews - but the ICQ one is nice. :)

I did a little more looking around on this, and when you click on "Preview This Site" on my #2 unsponsored site using this netscape search (http://search.netscape.com/ns/search?query=halloween+decorations&x=9&y=4&fromPage=NSCPResults), it provides a window pull-down and the referrer shows up as http://search.netscape.com/ns/search?query=halloween+decorations&x=9&y=4&fromPage=NSCPResults and the IP is my own browser.

I think I, Brian meant the thumbnails, which I only see on the sponsored results ... but yea, the click to see preview (and it is the real page, not the top-level thumbnail) works on all of 'em.

Yep it is the real page - which is quite cool seeing I just put up a pretty picture on the one I looked at. :)

I but it's just an iFrame so it's real time.
