I came up with a massive list of 100,000+ keywords and phrases. Some phrases generate just a few search results from Google if you search for them but I wonder if the volume of my list will bring some good traffic and conversion.

Any thoughts about long tail keywords?

If you input all those into adwords, you will not be doing yourself any favors. Break that list up into adgroups that are relevant to what you are promoting and you'll do far better.

It all depends on the niche you are selling to.
Some niches have most of their traffic around a few keywords while other niches such as music industry have more potential in their long tail.

So my answer to your question would be... It depends

Hi,

I don't think it is useful to have so many keywords unless there are all related. If they are not related, Yes, u will generate some click, but you are not targetting the right audience and hence your conversion will be low. Besides, you will generate alot of impression and this will lead to the lower CTR and hence your adverstisement will be charged higher than those with higher CTR.

How many keywords maximum can you use in Adwords for a phrase?

Is this too long:

Thanks!

AdWords will throw an error message if it's too long. I think it's 10 words or 80charracters but it's been awhile since I've seen the message so that may be a bit off.
