Fantastic looking site. Heaps of resources. Not bad Google PR.

But heaps of opportunities for optimization. Would be a fun job.

IMO it's less stressful and burden on your wallet if you learn and DIY.

The problem with getting someone to SEO your site is that you never know what you're truly getting. Read these forums, ask questions, don't be worried about sounding like a novice. Everyone on here was a novice at sometime too. Soon enough your site will start getting more hits. However, I must say that you site is very attractive, and likely to convert well once people are there.

The javascript for clicking on the nation map is broken.
Also, are the searches tied in with MLS. I was searching AZ and didn't find much when setting the basic parameters. In fact all searches found nothing.

Very interesting thing - I have helped SEO consultants SEO their own sites. I have seo'ed vbulletin for my own forum and am serp=1 for over 600 pages of the site. Most people that are asking me for reciprocal links have not seo'ed their own pages to make the most of the links I provide back to them....

I personally got a consultant to help me when I first started, but have then further developed the knowledge through forums such as this.

I get a mechanic to change my cars oil, even though I can do it myself, as I would rather spend time doing SEO and other things. One has only so much time, and if you prefer to bring in an expert to help doing certain parts, then it sure helps the balance between work and leisure.

Hopefully with that experts help, you are then able to follow the same principles for additional pages that you create, so you are not tied to the consultant forever.

In getting outside help you certainly have to be careful - but if you get someone via the digitalpoint forum, at least they have a chance at being schooled here.

Jeffrey,

I also agree you have a well designed site. The key question to answer for SEO is what do you want to be found for. Based on a quick search I am guessing something like the phrase homes for sale. Now this term is competitive for optimization but doable with time and commitment. I think if you add an affiliate program to your site it will give you extra leverage when conducting the SEO and link building work. I would be pleased to discuss with you where you want to take the site, please feel free to contact me on a no obligation basis.
