Over on the Amazon forums theres people talking about Amazon-Germany has put a "cap" on electronics. They also are talking about the % has been dropped for all Amazon's sites affiliates. Is the end near?

I have been watching my account and I show a balance of $0 even though I earned over $40 last month. Anyone else notice this?

I don't think I have ever met someone that can say that he is earning decent money with amazon.

ZuraX, last month was in a different quarter. Are you sure you are looking at the correct timespan? If you earned $40 last month but nothing so far this month then the default report (quarter to date) will show nothing.

fryman, I make decent money with Amazon. Low volume but high priced products. Mostly people emailing me looking for advice on certain products to purchase. Then I send them back an email with my links.

How much do you earn?

many are making thousands a month .. the trick is to get google to index and KEEP your pages indexed. if you can do that ... you can get 5-15,000 unique visitors a day. you also need more than 5 sites.

currently, google is wiping me out. but i guess they view me as a thin affliate ... so i gotta bust out the pages of content now :(

Amazon can earn decent returns with the right niche. On my site, it runs third behind Blogads and Adsense, but I still get a couple of hundred dollars a month.

I click on My account then past payments... Theres a list of all earnings from previous months. I have had this account for years. I have a few months where I made $2 or so. They are listed, the $43 I made 2 quaters ago is listed. They tried to send that one via direct deposit even though I have check picked. They finally sent me a check. Last quarter I made $6 and its not listed. Total owed says $0.00.

Yes I made a mistake in the post above. Been promoting it for 2 quarters, not months. Made over $40 each quarter. If I goto the reports and list earnings from 2000 to now it shows I have made over $100.

Amazon has never been a fantastic program IMO. I think the best quarter I ever had with them was around $1,500. Certainly not enough to live off of, and not enough to keep messing with it.

I only started to promote it because after months of not looking at my stats I logged in and had sales. No idea where they was coming from so I started linking to products and running 3 sites with My Amazon Store Manager.

It's now been made public that Google calls all affiliate only sites, like datafeed and AWS sites, SPAM. Back in 1993 I made $13,000 in two quarters, and now I'm crashed down to about $1,000 a quarter. Since the last Google update I've gone from having over 1,000,000 AWS URLs indexed to now having a measly 16,500 AWS URLs indexed.

Amazon would not have a End till a few years i guess.

Few reasons for this:
Amazon Web Based sites are getting popular day by day and hot in the market.
Around 30 % people have purchased amazon sites over the last month.

And they are earning income and getting those products sold and so.

I experimented a bit w/ PCC and Amazon. I managed about $600/mo on $400/mo PPC. Wasn't too thrilled given the effort it took to write the software to automagically place and track the campaigns. It would have probably been a loss for the month if not for the customer who bought a big ticket camcorder (direct-click commission on a $1800 camcorder.. Woo!). So, I've more or less dropped it in favor of other programs.

ZuraX
Nov 17th 2005, 1:00 pm
Yeah its time for people to start doing their own sites since the SERPS are removing the sites made with AWS. :(

i can't see how Amazon can let this go on without an answer for us. Affiliates in the serps contribute a lot to their sales.

is amazon the first place you'll go shopping for a Samsung HDTV?
