View Full Version : Most disgusting movie ever

I was surfing the channels and saw the Kill Bill movie starting. I never had the chance to watch it, so I grabbed some popcorn and decided to see it.
Took me 15 minutes to be completely digusted and turn off the TV. What kind of sick mind could create a movie like that?
Bazkaz
Jul 2nd 2005, 9:56 pm
That sick mind would be Quentin Tarentino. Just about everything he's done lately has been in a "Kill Bill" style it seems. Even the season finale of CSI that he directed... It was pretty good, except the heavily inspired 5-6 minutes seem that looked like something right out of Kill Bill and did nothing to help the story along... It was just there for shock factor, if anything.
You made the right choice just shoutting it off though. It never really got any better after the first 15 minutes...
It really depends if you're a fan of the old style Hong Kong film industry martial arts flicks. They had so many scenes with comically excessive blood which Tarantino tried to emulate (he apparently even borrowed from Anime). For most people, it's love/hate at first sight.

I thought Kill Bill was ok. The most disgusting film, that isn't labeled by disgusting, is Oasis. What I mean by that is some movies go out of their way to have gore in them and be tagged gory.
Do not ever rent Oasis. I watched part of it a couple of months ago. It's tagged as a Korean mismatch love story. The mismatch, however, is because the guy is an ex-convict and the girl has severe cerebral palsy.
There are some things you can’t unsee.

I like his movies... :) Kill Bill volume 1 and 2, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, etc. Definitely has his own style... If nothing else, his movies are "unique".

I agree. His films have a different and new style that really impress you the first time you watch it but not as interesting the second time. Both Pulp fiction and Kill Bill volume 1 has the wow feeling.

Pulp fiction was a great movie, it is now a classic, but Kill Bill just made me want to puke.
There are better ways of representing violence without entering the gore world. Natural Born Killers is one of my favorite movies, it is a masterpiece of violence, but even that seems like a kiddy movie against Kill Bill.

Kill Bill is in the vein of old blood spurting kung fu movies. It's not really that bad. Because it's not terribly realistic, it's almost cartoonish.
Sin City is like that, except that it is filmed completely differently (a description would not even do it justice), and is much, MUCH more disturbing. (Tarantino has a small hand in it, directed one scene, iirc).
Ever seen any of John Water's movies? Like Pink Flamingos or Desperate Living? Heh, I'd think kill bill would pale in comparison.

As far as a fun disgusting movie, JackAss tops the list, but you have to be of a certain mindset to be able to sit through it and laugh. It's definitely not for everyone. For a stomach turning experience that will haunt you forever, it would have to be Faces of Death - any one of them. That was truly created by a very sick person.
nddb
Jul 3rd 2005, 2:44 pm
Faces of Death... that's more like a documentary, or clips of real events. Kind of sad that the most disturbing thing of all is reality, not the hollywood attempt at violence and disturbing topics.
But as the saying goes, truth is stranger than fiction.

Some of those faces of death shows are pretty nasty
I like tarrintios movies, I think jackie brown and pulp fiction were way better movies then kill bill. As for disgusting , to me stuff has to seem real to be disgusting. Like texas chainsaw massacre, of that stuff was sort of raw. I heard this movie called audition is supposed to be pretty sick, I got it in my netflix que.

i used to think that tarantino is a genius in film making, but seeing kill bill definitely changed my mind. i think he forgot that in doing a truly violent film takes more than just blood and gore. violence needs art in order to become a masterpiece.

Other nasty films worth watching.
American History X (Story of Racism in America starring Edward Norton)
Chopper (Real nasty)
Romper Stomper (Real nasty - REALLY)
A Clockwork Orange (Everyone should have seen this by now)

Totally. That movie was great! (American History X) Its disturbing that those kinds of people exist, but they do and I've known a few myself. How stupid do you have to be to be into "White Power" or anything like that?!!? I think the biggest way as a society we can rid ourselves of that garbage is to point out how stupid they are and laugh at them regularly for being such idiots.

Romper Stomper was good, its like american history x without any positive side
There used to be fair amount of skin heads were I grew up and hungout, some of them were ok, but a lot are retards. I think the skinheads in NY are more like drunk punks then any sort of militant movement.

I loved those movies. Alot of American movies these days are trash. They are mostly crappy remakes, cartoons, or super hero flicks. Quentin Tarantino's movies are original, and have you talking for a long time after you see them.

What was chopper about?
It was about Mark 'Chopper' Reed, a notorious figure in organised crime here in Australia, here's a link about him http://www.melbournecrime.bizhosting.com/mread.htm. The thing that I always remember about this guy is that he cut his own ears off in jail
It starred Eric Bana, an Australian actor you may know from the Incredible Hulk, Troy, and Blackhawk Down. Pretty good movie, but real dark, and hard to imagine people are really like that.

Quoting just to make a point here:
I think most people missed the boat on Kill Bill. It is ONE MOVIE that was split in two by hollywood directors. "Part one" is like the first 30 minutes of any movie out there. Setting up the characters, story line, etc. "Part two" is like the last hour to hour and a half of any movie out there, actually telling the story and wrapping things up.
I enjoyed Kill Bill as a whole. Try watching both DVD's on the same night. That is the best way to see it, as it was intended in the first place.
As for the gore, c'mon guys and gals... it was all very cartoon-ish, or anime as someone else said earlier. Had it been realistic looking the movie wouldn't have been as good, I don't like any gory movies that I can think of. The fact that you could blantantly tell it was not realistic made the gore wash right over and helped the viewer get back to the story line. Which in my opinion was an excellent story.
I feel sorry for the originater of this thread... he/she really shoud watch the entire movie (1 & 2) in one sitting and then tell us what he/she thinks!
PhoenixHomes.com gives it two thumbs up!

The gore didn't really bother me. What bothered me was there's about 3 hours of actual movie split into 2 movies. So you watch the same thing over and over, too much filler.

I loved Kill Bill, as there are a million intracasies if you love Kung Fu movies. His style is like no one elses and its a shame people just focus on the violence. Its a realistic style of storytelling that doesn't baby the viewer.
I realize thats not some peoples cup of tea. I hated Keanu Reeves "Walk in the Clouds" for instance and turned it off after 5 minutes but to each his own.

It means you understood more about the character of hanso.
They'res a contrast between the way he acts in the bar and the way he acts once he starts to build the sword.
It lets you understand the character better.

Me too! And that's pretty rare. I don't like movies as much as most people. My mind wanders too much and I lose interest very quickly. Especially w/ the shit movies released "nowadays". Most new movies are just big commercials for some crap product! And they don't even try to disguise it.

I really liked Kill Bill and part 2. I like Tarentino movies, especially the spaghetti westerns with Clint Eastwood. I thought KB & KB2 were done very well. The cinematography and the acting were first rate. I thought the story was well told. I did not like Hero as much because I thought the story was too slow but the imagery and the action was still great.

I have to agree with YFS1, the "filler" as it has been called, really helped tell the story. How sucky would it have been if she walked intot the bar and he said "would you like a sword?"? Suck-o-la if you ask me. Each section, "filler" or not, had importance to the overall story and making it believable. Thank god the gore wasn't believable, but the story of revenge sure was!

I think tarantino is a gifted director. I like most of the work he has done. I thought he did a good job on kill bill, and brought Uma Thurman back into the limelight.
I mean, Kill Bill is certainly no Matrix, but for those wishing to see stylized martial arts mayhem, a cute japanese school girl with a morning star, and endless blood and fighting, it is a great movie.
Kill Bill 2 is a little too much for me. Especially the part where the Monk ripped out the eyeballs of one of the main characters.
