Here's a strange one, for the last 6-7 months two of my sites (both with unique content) have competed directly for their Yahoo rank. That is, if one is ranked for a generic keyword phrase like "penny stocks" then the other is nowhere to be found for that same phrase. It's as if Yahoo thinks they are both the same site, but as I wrote, they both have their own unique content on the topic of "penny stocks."
My complaint with this is that one of the sites (let's call it: HPS) is much better and I only want it to rank high. The other site (let's call it: TTE) I'm kinda just keeping around and don't plan to update it that much. TTE is commonly "taking over" the rank of HPS lately of HPS. I even went as far to de-optimize TTE for "penny stocks" but this only lowered TTE's rank from about 11th to about 31st.
So, I guess I'm left asking... Has anyone ever had two sites on the same topic push each other on and off of Yahoo?
