My highest was just over 19K with a major drop to about 8k due to some, apparently questionable linking practices and subsequent sandboxing in google. Solved that problem but took about 4 months to start seeing the traffic come back again. How I did it - unique valuable content, unique valuable content, unique valuable content :)

There are some big earners. They just don't disclose what they earn. Some of them have actually said in the past how much they earn, but they probably don't want to repeat themselves over and over again.

No - I meant that in December I made that much. January doesn't look like it's going to match that and no other month has either. I expect my site to make roughly 500 a month in 2007. December is always the best month in terms of visitor numbers. Spirituality gets most visitors in the winter months.
I also have some other subjects on my site (webdesign, education), but spirituality is the largest proportion.
