In google my site comes in first page or second page for most of searches that I targeted. But in Yahoo, it is in 4 th or 5th page. My site is listed in Yahoo dir (title and description are not really targeted in Yahoo directory ) Since it was added within a month of site launch 2 yrs back. At that time site doesnot has much content.
Having said all that, How to improve my seach in Yahoo with out hurting google and MSN.

Everything that you do for other search engines, "nothing" for Yahoo. For Yahoo you need to do different thing, but what exactly I still don't know..:(

Hi,
indeed, there's a big mistery with yahoo. Impossible to understand how it works. sometimes I wonder if yahoo itself does.:)

Don't care too much about yahoo ranking, instead focus on google. Even if for specified keyword, your site is rank #1 in both google and yahoo, the traffic from google and yahoo will be 10:1.

One of my sites used to rank No.1 at Yahoo for most keywords. Then I started building links to increase their rankings at Google. Now, the Google rankings are at the top, but I have seen a drop at Yahoo. Not sure what is going on. Anyway, Google is bringing in enough visitors so I don't care much about Yahoo anyway.
In the past, I thought Google paid more attention on backlinks, while MSN paid more attention to site contents. Yahoo seemed to be somewhere in between. Now, that is no longer true.
