Google Spider has a lot of legs at DP

How many Google spiders crawl this forum? It seems that Google has every spider on DP at all times.

I was wondering if this is a member increase that I see when I look at the number online, but when I look at who's online is seems that Google has more spiders than members at times online at DP.

Do these spiders live here all the time, can any of us bugs survive? :eek:

if he's coded the forum to recognize mediabot as being from google, that could be a lot of it.

every new thread, new post, and new page of a thread would trigger a new bot visit.

Yea I knew Shawn was at it (the reason) in inviting all of these 8 leg monsters in here.

I also see how fast (instantly) the spider ADSENSE ads came up, so Shawn does have this thing tuned to the max.

When are you accepting investors Shawn? :D

yeah, mediabot is the name of the bot for adsense. it's seperate from google's regular crawler.

Mediabot shows differently in the who's online list (as Google AdSense).

Go to the quick links drop down menu and click on who's online, you will be the spider king then.

Look at post number 9, read slow, in case that does not work follow these instructions.

See where it says Private Messages above, under your name, under that you will see A Quick Links drop down box, click on it and then when it drops down, click on Who's Online and you will have the gold.

Don't feel bad, it took Compar about two days to teach me to find it also, maybe you are like me and just need to click on everything to see how it all works.

Just the other day I looked at the tools drop down menu and found some new stuff I did not know was there.

If Shawn had more time maybe he would give us weekly lessons on how to use the forum to full benefit.

Don't hold your breath on the hand holding, just click on everything in sight!

It will be quicker to learn on your own, but if you have a question check in FAQ or just PM Shawn or Compar, they will help you..........maybe :D

No, I am pretty sure I know how links work. What I do not know is how you get it to indicate what spiders are on the site at what time and what thread they are spidering. That is awesome.

Yea, Shawn needs to put a separate gauge for spiders and guests and members, so we know how many "real people" are on line.

I need to know so I can comb my hair when their are a lot of folks online, I would also put some clothes on and quit drinking so much.

Anyone got some spider killer (RAID) bug spray. :D

When I look for members, I do not want to see spiders, I demand change Shawn. :mad:
