Are PM on DP Private?

I have a question that I am sure will get a bit of interest here.

Are the Private Messages that we send to each other private?

Don't get mad Shawn, I believe in your integrity, I just want to know from administration here at DP, simple question.

It's a valid question but, as far as I have ever seen with all the PMs I have sent and received, there is absolutely NO INDICATION of any problems. IMHO.

No problems, you never got that $1,000.00 I PM you that one time VA, do you think DP highjacks all funds transfered by DP Private Message transfer? :mad:

They are private... technically the server administrator could get at them in raw form by direct access to the database (just like your mail server administrator could technically read your email). But there is no option in vBulletin for admins to read other people's PMs.

Trust me, I have enough to do as it is, and my life is interesting enough that I could care less about people's PMs or emails. :)

Well I guess by what Shawn says we can work all kinds of CT's right under his nose here on DP, he will never know by our PM's :D

CT's are good for business, right Shawn, you have no financial interest to stop them, just don't try to get the inside track on how they unfold here at DP, do you promise? :rolleyes:

You could plot my own murder in PM here if you want. I can't think of anything what so ever that someone could write to anyone else in PM that would have any interest to me. But if you are worried about it, email them or IM them instead.

As far as Shawn reading PM, he does not even have time to read articles I post most of the time, so reading my PM would never happen, or would it SB? :D
