Apple and M$ legal trouble

Apple and M$ are in a software lawsuit over autoupdate technology.

I guess there is a lot of white collar crime in the software business and the lawyers love it.

M$ is such a fat target and has been beaten in the past ( Sun nearly 2B$ ) you will probably see a lot more stories like this one in the future.

All these Internet patent crap makes me ill. Like that company with the ecommerce patent that goes around suing small companies to extort money out of them. If the patent office would just stop issuing stupid patents this could all go away. Most of these patents used in the lawsuits are ambiguous and nebulous.

Microsoft also owns shares of Apple I believe.
Software updating technology is important, no matter if they copied or not. Competition keeps innovation strong.
