I launched a new text link/advertising site that is a little different then the others.

LinkBalance.com (http://www.linkbalance.com) sells cheap text links and gives new members an opportunity to give money back to previous members.

Here's how it works:
When a new member submits a link, they choose from a list of the last 20 sites to give 50% of the link cost to, or they can spread it evenly to all 20. For instance, if a link cost $4.00, they can give $2.00 back to a previous member or .10 cents to the last 20 members.

Twenty links stay on the homepage and all links will be listed on a "links" page for the life of the site. Once a link gets pushed off the main page, they will receive a PayPal payment for the money that they earned.

On the "links" (http://www.linkbalance.com/links.php) page, you can also click on a members "earned" amount to see an itemized listing of their commissions. Please refer to the example below.

Also, if you add a link on your site to LinkBalance after purchasing a link, you will get an extra $1.00 for anybody that clicks through your site to buy a link.

More info can be found on the "How it Works" (http://www.linkbalance.com/about.php) page.

I have a question

I looked at your affiliate link. How can we be sure that we will receive credit for submissions that are sent from our site(s)?
And is there a way for us to be able to track how much we may have earned or the amount of traffic we have referred?

Any time a member clicks through a link on your site to LinkBalance, a script reads the referer. If the referer URL matches an existing member, then a 30 day cookie is stored on their computer with an ID that will let LinkBalance know that you were the referer.

If you were to check your register on the "Links" page, you can see if you have any referers.

i would normally send a payment back via PayPal, but to save us both charges in the long run just email or PM what you want to do with your balance.

so far all sites that got knocked off the main page has made at least double their money back.

you earned $3.61 on a $1.10 investment. :)

i used your balance to reinvest on the $3.20 spot.
we can square up later.

I have "made" some back on my submissions as well, which is cool, but that isnt the only purpose for this. The main reason why I joined in was because it was something different and I just wanted to check it out to see how it goes.

There is one concern however, eventually the entry price may be too high to attract new submitters on a low PR page

thats why i keep the increments low. it will take alot of members to get the base price up to a level that some of the other sites are asking for.

Taking into account how many clicks I recieved and how much I spent, the only thing I can say this is a no-brainer for getting a little traffic =)

I've already paid out $48 bucks paid to previous members.
Most made money from this project.

The links are still cheap, only $4.00 right now.
