To celebrate the Grand Opening of WebmasterPost.com, we're giving away $50 to the one that can, form now until Nov 26th, create the longest thread! :D (Also see our Top 3 Tutorial Contest here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=1760222#post1760222)
Rules: Starting now: Make a new thread anywhere at, www.WebmasterPost.com/forum and after your thread title put in parentheses: "(Longest Thread Contest)".
Get as many of your friends to post a reply as possible. The thread starter with the most replies wins $50 usd via PayPal.
1) Please post a "I'm in" post in this thread if you might enter.
2) You can't post in your own thread.
3) For someone's post to count in your thread, they must
first have 5 posts (anywhere) in the forum.
4) Each member can only enter one thread into the contest
5) Only one post from each member counts toward your total. People can respond more than once in your thread, but only one of their responses is counts.
6) Contest ends Sun. Nov 26th, at 4pm EST / 9PM GMT time.
7) You can not create additional "fake" members to post in your own thread. Anyone who does this will be disqulified from any contest as we will watch your IP addresses.

5) Any member can only post in your thread once.
How can we restrict a member to post only once in my thread?
We can restrict ourself but can't other.

I might take part in this, however I don't expect to win. You have a really nice forum, I can see good potential for your website and a bright future. :)

Great question. People can respond more than once in your thread, but only one of their responses is counted toward your total. I'll add this to the rules to clarify it. Thanks for bringing this up.

Actually I think Islam vs. all the others will get even more....

So it's not so much a longest thread but the most participants in a thread - since the longest thread may infact have only a handful of people posting.

Now I think you've got the right idea! :D
Register with a name like, "BinLaden" and post in the lounge that Muslims are far superior than all infidels in every way. Then sit back and watch the replies roll in.
Hextraordinary, I think you should try this before someone takes your good idea.
Another good one is create a post on how superior Windows is to all other operating systems including Linux and Apple. Almost everyone at WebmasterPost hates Microsoft, LOL

The chances of me registering under the name BinLaden are about the same as of me being Donald Trump.

Exactly! In hindsight, "The most participants in a Thread" would have been more accurate. But then again, that doesn't have the same ring to it

Haha, you are a funny RACIST. (or religionist) Bin Laden doesn't represent al Muslims or the majority of Muslims.
I don't think I will enter this.

Its not really fair that a person can't participate in his/her own thread. It would make more sense if the starter may not have more than 25% of the posts in the thread. That way he/she can participate in the discussion they started.

LOL, I hear you Hex. But hey, if it helps you to win :D
You can always re-register later as any name you want.
(or PM me later and I'll change your username to something else)

Thank you for the kind words bccruzer, but I prefer to be called a "religionist" (kidding of course). Thank you also for over-reacting to our humor. Are people like that for real?

Thank you Hex! :) The point of the "BinLaden" username was not to put down Muslims but to "pretend" to be controversial so you can get a lot of replies. It's like acting a certain part.

Not quite, maybe I didn't explain it well above. Here's Dave's winning thread: http://www.webmasterpost.com/forum/showthread.php?p=24511#post24511
He started a topic and received the most unique member replies. As in, only 1 reply per member counted toward his total. Know what I mean?
