Has anyone seen changes in the listings in Yahoo? I am seening some movement for some keyterms. I am wondering if it is from normal shifting or if there is or was and update.

If you see 'some' movements for 'some' terms... I see that every day.
You'll need to present some more interesting patterns if you want to announce an update.

I noticed yesterday my indexed pages droped form 20K to 2.5K and this morning they went up to 7.5K and now back to 3K... :( weird.

I was just asking if anyone is seeing noteworthy changes in their rankings. I am seeing that some of my terms are dropping. Then again I have been mixing up my onpage content to try to get better positions. I have also been going all out on my inbound link hunt. :D
B.T.W. The site I am working on is not in my signature.

Those of you who see no change, how many inbound links is Yahoo showing that you have?

Well, the changes I mentioned are noteworthy to me, but in ranking there are changes every day +/- a few spots (DP keywordranking tool).

Thats a good amount of backlinks. I am seeing a 10+ position change for some of my keyterms.

how many are you watching and how many changed? I'm watching about 80 and 3 of my keyphrases gone down -7 -8 -22.. on the monthly change I have a few that went down -50, but I also have A LOT that went up a few hundred, over 50 and tenths.. so I'm not worried.

3 terms I tergeted on the index page all dropped. I am starting think that they just haven't had enogh time to get an established position in yahoo yet. I have also got many new inbound links over the past month.

may be it wasn't enough time. I had something similar a few months ago when I plugged in a lot of weight form co-op on my site and got very good positions on very competitive keyphrases in Yahoo. It didn't last long though and now after about 3 months I'm slowly improving my rankings which actually feels right now since I don't think my site deserved those high ranking that soon.

That could be the case for me too then since I added the co-op to this site at the beginning of May.

At my work we'd been noticing some yahoo rankings dropping so we pulled the co op and it seemed to settle down I've also heard this from a couple other people. My early conclusion is that they might be going after non-static links harder.

how long did it take to settle after you pulled off the co-op?

I need a few more confimations on the co-op theory before I make any moves with that.

Gazelle, Ive been in and out of the yahoo listings for the past 5 days. It seems that they really tracked down the correct backlinks for everyone during this update.

Just "dropped out" of Yahoo myself, for ALL of the keywords I'm tracking on the DP keyword tracker...
Still returns over 29,000 pages indexed, 114,000 link and 150,000 linkdomain.
But my site is nowhere to be found in the Yahoo SERPS, even for non-competitive keywords I've had the #1 spot for the last 2-3 years..
No special changes to my site the last few weeks either.
I'm hoping this is just a temporary "glitch", so I wont start to panic yet (maybe tomorrow or monday).. :)

Wow,
Let's hope its a temporary glitch. I ran the keyword checker yesterday and was ranking well for most of the list.
The # of indexed pages is up.
My sites that have dropped out are all in the coop. Wonder if its related?

Have you made any site changes?
I'm looking for explanations other than the coop  I just moved to a new dedicated host/IP 10 days ago and I'm wondering if that might related?
Fortunately I don't get a lot of traffic from Yahoo but it is disconcerting to see it happening.

Just using co-op. No real changes made to the pages I was tracking.

Exact same scenario here
tried to upload a screenshot of dp kw tracker, it looks like the other one posted

Got this error, dunno if it helps Shawn.
Basically all my terms on yahoo have gone. I'm back to seeing what I saw prior to using the coop. Not blaming the coop yet....but I've got some coop only advertising. And they've gone.

I've seen the same pattern for all my coop sites as well. Jumping up and down in SEPRS by huge numbers in Yahoo on a daily basis... That's why I've been switching all my sites to link-vault (http://www.link-vault.com) one-by-one. So far it seems to be working, but it takes a while to fix, as I have several thousand rotating links from coop, and link-vault takes time, the new permanent links come slowly, but steadily (which is how it should be done).
Google seems to like coop so far, but I think it's too risky and I think it's a matter of time before they drop the value of rotating link... Too bad coop guys don't care about this and don't implement any static link scripts here.

I lost a lot of traffic from yahoo today (nearly all). More than half of my pages dropped from top rankings.
Could be that they have some problems with their servers and that everthing is going back to normal again.
For the last three days the mailservers didn't function properly. I couldn't login for three days. Today I can login, but lost my good ranking for most of the pages.
As for the last 6 hours no traffic from Yahoo at all.

There are some changes going on, not an update I think. Before I was listed at the directory and now I'm out of there.
