Will you place 2 links with identical URL but different anchor text on any 1 page?
I wanna know whether this will do any harm to my site?

I want my destination URL to rank high in 2 different KW .. by doing this, the allinanchor will increase .. but will the BL also increase? (what i mean is that will it be 2x BL compare to 1 link?)

So what's you opinion about this? Will search engine penalize my site? Just curious .. Please let me know you experience .. Thanks :)

Happens all the time, usually for ligitimate reasons though (your logo links to your home usually, + you may have a link on page pointing at home etc).

It absolutely won't harm your site but it will only count as one link. How its counted comes down to 2 theories:

1.) Only the anchor text of the first link counts
2.) The combined anchor text counts but each individual word gets a smaller percentage.

In my tests it has been option #1 although its a hard thing to prove.

I always use the second link to go to a subpage so that both count as a backlink and you double the effectiveness of the anchor text.

Cool, I think you just answered my question.

As I only have one site to promote, I wanted to get the maximum out of my signiture links. I have 4 links to utilise, one to my home page and three to sub pages.

I was wondering if there might be negative repercussions as I don't see many others doing this.

How do you check allinanchor?

Use the following operator in Google:

allinanchor:your keywords

For example:
http://www.google.ie/search?hl=en&q=allinanchor%3Aweb+design&meta=
