my Alexa widget shows (nov 1 2006) and not updated ?

hi guys..i knw what alexa listing and the disclaimer stuff etc....

my listing number stuck at 2,016,504 on nowv 1 2006

the widget not updated

Alexa will normally update the average rankings once in a week. If you have high traffic with Alexa rank in top 100,000 you may see the update faster and you can also see a daily value of the Alexa ranking.

You can have very high traffic and yet have very low Alexa if your site readers do not have Alexa toolbar installed on their computers. So you should not confuse actual traffic with Alexa ranking

i found alexa cookies in my system when i scanned with ad aware se personal

i didnot install toolbar for sure..

is alexa being buddled with freewares...
and are with other other website caches..

is it so....

I face problem with alexa.and I don't trust them any more
Even I have day to day to my sites more visits from logs into server (in a month I have double numbe of visits from previous) alexa ranking went to bottom./ My thumb lost for over a week ,:eek: :eek: and seems my site to be last at position in 1 day at 5000000 position and the next week to 20000 200 400000
so drammatically changes are not logically.:confused: :confused:

Yes Alexa is Spyware thats what it is supposed to do, return the sites that you go to and rank them from their database. The problem with Alexa is the idea of the toolbar, it can not accuratly track everyone. The better way to get results in a situation were you are getting a lot of traffic, but feel that Alexa is not representing that, is to install the widget. The widget is integrated into your page and reports to Alexa without the need for a toolbar. The script it located in the link below. Hope this helps your rank

alexa actually counts the visiotrs..who has alexa toolbar installed and not the original traffic to your site...
