Can I get Stock prices with google API

Well, I am new to the API world but I have been reading a lot of articles/info on this since past 1 week.

I want to use google API to get back stock prices and historic data related to stock price. Does anyone know if this is possible ?? I am not able to figure out if this is possible

I thought the answer would be "No" too, but just wanted to make it sure thru experience of all the genious over here....

Do you have any idea what would be some other techniques/ways by which I could get the numerical values for the stock prices if not directly thru the API...

Some hint around that side would go a long way...
