Well, I am getting started to buy some links for a couple of blogs of mine for the first time.

I am wondering how many links to buy is enough to begin. I know it's never enough, but my budget is not that big and I want to know how many links to buy is effective. In example; is it enough to buy 3 PR6 links on related sites? I mean, does it effect on search engines?

Advise me please.

Thanks in advance

You need to buy a spread of links preferably with a good PR and with an affordable cost that keeps within your budget.

But you will need to continue with your link program it is not a short term exercise it requires sustained development

The more links you buy the more pages you will get indexed on the SEngines

And your PR will increase if you are linked to sites with solid PR's

Good luck and remember keep linking continuously :)

PR3 is very common try if you can afford get quality from PR5 up, but of course PR3 links are not to be ignored too

But the objective is to increase your own PR on your own site so the better the links the better the chances of increasing your own PR :)

Just don't buy (rent's a better word though, isn't it?) too many at once - it may alert google.

Start with lower PR links and at least try to make the link building look "natural". Remember - most sites will have the majority of their links from PR0 pages - just look at the distribution of PR linking to a competitor website.

Don't but them, earn them!

I have got little return from bought links and found that doing some PR for my site will yield me far more free links than I need.

Starting with lower PR links doesn't make the link building process seem more natural. You can get linked by various PR levels at any stage.

Long lasting links are the type that will take you the furtherest in the long run. The best selling links for me are permanent links that start on the homepage and later move to the archives permanently.

In that case - you can recommend my blog network!

Any high profile blog will be good for link building.

I don't buy links, but I was just wondering what the main reason is for purchasing links: to increase your own sites PR or the get targetted traffic? Or, is it just a part of your link building in general? How exactly does buying links help your search engine rankings? Or does it?

Buying links is all about value, as with most things in life you tend to get what you pay for. Try for relevant links, paid feature listings in directories are also good.

Janet: "to increase your own sites PR or the get targetted traffic?" - Yes both. Buying links is a nice way to give a quick boost to new sites or to inject some life into older sites. It allows you to focus your keywords through your choice of anchor text and can help give you an edge for competitive keywords.

good luck

" How many links to buy " --> Answer to this question depends on what you're looking for.

If you're planning to build pagerank for your website, google also counts age of the domain name now. BUYING 3 PR6 links won't let you PR5 unless you're 6-8 month old domain name. Google will gradually assign you (increase) PR.

For initiatl months, I will recommend you to go and purchase some articles along with the links for your website. Ask someoen to write 10 - 100 articles related to your website. Publish these articles with proper directory structure on your website. With 1 year old domain name, enough content on your website, start purchasing high pagerank backlinks (PR6 & 7 backlinks).

Articles generate traffic on your website and high PR links will build your website pagerank.

So, If It's low budget for me, I will 1st generate content for my website. Once I have engough content I will go around buying links...

also, don't forget to spread your link types - links diversity is the key here :)
