Google Checkout is out of BETA?

I just went to google checkout and saw that people from many countries can register now.

However, India is still not on the list.

I don't get it. The sign up form has United States hard coded as the country. Where do you see the other countries? Is UK in it? The official blog doesn't mention anything about other countries either.

For google to release any new service in countres as big as india, needs lot of preparations and many test's before they come up with otherwise it will be a big failure. Second largest(in population) India could easilly make google go heywire lol.
That is the reason u see all small islands listed there but not india.
