I released this mod: http://www.onseo.com/forums/howto-se-friendly-mod-rewrite-of-urls-for-vbulletin-0-2.24389

I don't have time to maintain it at the moment, so if anyone is interested in being paid to do the next release, please PM me your price.

What I need done:

TODO:
- BUGFIX: Fix persistent cached page issue (read the support thread (http://www.onseo.com/forums/support-se-friendly-mod-rewrite-of-urls-for-vbulletin.24379) for more info on this)
- URLs need to be rewritten for "similar thread" links
- Create alternative version which only rewrites URLs for non-logged in users

So, you need to create two new releases (one which rewrites URLs non-logged in users only, and one which rewrites URLs for everybody)

You also need to document all changes in the same way I have for the previous releases of this mod.

I would hold off 60 days for the next vB release. The company states they will not forcast or predict or pre announce upgrade releases, however they did just that.

That leads some of us to believe that alot could change and affect hacks.

Notice that vBulletin templates is gone?

60 days is a long time in terms of the web. So I'd still like to get this mod released now, especially since I promised a few people I would.

Would you be interested in doing this noppid?

I have read it(yours) a few times. I've balked at installing any of them however, I do wind up back at your's often.

I would be interested in collaborating with you on this, but my reluctance to install it is a big issue. Maybe it's nothing, but I have a hunch.

As you may know, I have a few hacks and I'm worried about the upgrade to come and how many forum owners are coming looking for me already if there are in fact issues.

Something this big and popular could/would bury me.

I read specifically your issue you pointed out in IM. IMO it's not an issue and is doing exactly what is expected. You need the "no-cache" headers. That's all I got. Maybe someone else can say more?

You could be right, but at the least I'd like the next release to only serve the no-cache header for thread pages, instead of every page which is what the current work-around does.

ah, now that's easily doable. Famous last words.

But yeah, we can make it page specific with the no-cache headers.

Please, noppid or anyone else, I really need someone to work on this. As a round about figure I'm willing to pay $120 for this, but that's negotiable.

Thanks.
