I just received an email today from one of the reader saying one of my pay/lead link is a scam because they are asking for SSI and all types of sensitive info.

I am wondering how you guys would "test" and see what kind of pay/lead link that is.

1) Do you guys actually sign up/do a survey to see how the program is?

2) If you do a test like that, do you simply copy the link without your affiliate id on it? Or you will click on your link with your affiliate id on it (so you will get the commission and a chance to test)

3) Is it "leagl" to write some warning under the ad such as: credit card required or it is a X-page survey. Do they allow you to do that?

Thx

Well I use clickbank and they allow you to set the price down to $0.00 so you can test your link.

What affiliate program are you using?

Just because something asks for a Social security number or credit card does not make it a scam. A lot of offers ask for that type of information depending on the offer.

Feel free to disclaim the offers however you want. It would probably reduce the number of clicks you get but increase your conversions.

No sorry I'm not familiar with maxbounty..I will check it out though.
The only suggestion I can make is to use clickbank.
