.org really bad?

Hey, i've read some posts on here which some say .org is fine and some say they wouldnt touch it with a 10 foot pole.

I've always had .net domains and currently have one. I also just got a .org domain for my personal blog site. I'm not going to be selling anything, maybe just some text links later on. Am i at a real disadvantage due to my .org?

Can i still have lots of visitors at my site as it grows more popular or am i doomed to some extent?

OF sure You can. I think .org domain is same domain like a .com .net whatever...

I've seen more .org web sites than .biz and .info combined.

.com - .net - .org

so those are the top 3 in my opinion

some domains look and sound better with certain TLDs

I used to own mijac.net and to me it sounded alot better than mijac.com

source.net sounds better to me than source.com

oh yea, think about big sites like mininova.org or like ummm, piratebay org ROFL what am i saying ;) but yea they are very popular too!

Domains have nothing to do the traffic .
.org is a good choice for personal use.So don't feel that bad :)

.org is not that bad but it depends on the type of site you want to put there

in my experience, any domain with good SEO will bring the traffic

.org has no disadvantage other than the fact that the .com is more rememberable.

.org is good, u can still get good visitors and serps.Actually .org is for orginations, if .com is avaliable we have to go for it as it will be easy to rem.
