My First Campaign With Azoogle! (1 Day = $84.50 )

Firstly I would like to say hello to the fellow members of DigitalPoint,

As you will notice I am new here but planning on staying around for awhile as reading these forums has been very useful and it has the information which im looking to learn.

Ok Now to my post.

For some time I have been a member of Azoogle but it was one of those things where I was signing up to different advertising networks and affilate networks just to check them out and never used the service.

After thinking for some time that I want to learn more Internet marketing techniques and other ways of maximising revenue from the Internet I decided to look around to what options were available.

So, I came here read various posts and remembered I had an Azoogle account and decided to go and take a look,

I choose a small offer to start with "FREE iPOD Offer" Where people have to submit a valid email address and I earn $1.30 from each valid address.

Now taking my Opt-In Emails lists from various sites i own i decided to send this offer out.

Shortly after sending the email I decided to check Azoogle which used to have a $0 zero balance for some time now which had a balance of $6.50

I was infact surprised that the return was so fast although only a small amount for now, I went to sleep last night and this morning when i woke decided to check the Azoogle account.

Azoogle Balance: $84.50

As you can see from a first time trial for me this was a good run.

This got me thinking on this certain campaign as I only sent using a few thousand emails so here are my questions.

1. Email Services

I have seen around on the Internet send an email to x,xxx,xxx targeted emails

Are they worth it?
Has anyone here used an email service with sucess?
Anyone recomend an email service?

2. Yahoo Search Marketing

I have read many good reviews on yahoo search marketing but Obviously being new to everything in the field of affilate advertising I dont really know where to start, I know these forums is the first step but im looking on advice really on using this service.

3. Google AdWords

I have used adwords before on a gaming site I own although I found this an expensive way of promotion in sense of return rates, I found i recieved alot of clicks but nothing that really stayed around as to other methods.

But I see many people here use adwords to promote there affilates so im also looking for some advice on how i would go about this.

4. MySpace

Should I stay away from doing anything on myspace e.g bulletins and things?

5. Where Should I Spend My Money?

I know really this is a useless question in some respect but would like to try and get a rough idea on what return rate you get

I know money can be lost and money can be gained depending on how campaigns go but from your previous experience.

But im looking to spend around $5,000 on a campaign to try and make a return via some affilates.

From you experience spending this type of cash on advertising what has been your return?

Are you talking about services like aweber that manage your lists? Most Affiliate networks require you only send out mailings to your OWN lists. You can't buy or rent lists for distribution.

Most Network Affiliates do not allow promotion via MYSpace Bulletins. There is one I know that seems to not care, but most of the rest will potentially kick you out for promoting offers on Myspace Bulletins.

Got to test and learn. How much are you happy with? How much do you invest? The rate of return is not useful because there are simply too many factors, that if you are not doing the EXACT same thing, will make the information meaningless.

Are you making money? Than that is good. Are you losing money? Then that is bad. The rest is really up to you.

Start testing offers in various mediums. Those that seems to have a chance to work (ie you are converting leads etc), you can spend more money on and work on tweaking to make more profitable. Those that do not convert at all you can shelf until you come up with another idea for promoting them.

Most of my tests have not worked. Some have though, and I keep promoting and improving and expanding on those that work. Others I go back and revist with new ideas or a new approach.

Some great advice remeber to send out only to your lists. and the key is trial and error with PPC! and if it doesn't work try again.. as there have been many campaigns I failed at then a month later had the light bulb come on and since then been rakin it in for that offer as sometimes you just have to think and make sure you are promoting the right way to the right audience.

Congrats on your campaign last night. I think you're on to something doing email -> azoogle especially for the cheaper offers. I haven't tried it yet, been mainly doing ppc -> azoogle.

I tested an azoogle offer last night '*Exclusive* - JohnQ Media VIP120 Club' and it sucked*. Oh well, other offers are doing well, and like everyone says around here: test, test, test.

12,000

I think the account is now for the past 3 days? up to around $200 with 2000 hits so not a bad conversion rate.

How can the affiliates differentiate between mailing list you "own" and ones you rent, like sending out to a service's opt-in list?

Email could be powerful for the low ecpc offers.
