can i put google adsense search on my top frame page

Question here.. Can i put google adsense for search box on my top frame on 1 of my websites since it is using frames. what about google ads link units.. is it against google tos since it will open in another frame?

I think it would be best to e-mail Adsense support so they can say that it is allowed or not.

Also keep in mind that if the link-unit is placed in a frame without content then it won't be able to show any ads based on the content (viewed in the other frame). At least that's if I'm not off the mark. I haven't used frames in ages.
