Hi, I set up a google adsense account about 5 months ago, Ive had 4 cheques from google, I haven't made loads from it but its enough to help pay for things around the house etc.
I have some concerns though, I have read lots of horror stories about google stopping peoples accounts for no reasons and I'm worried if I cash the cheques and google stopped my account in the future would they demand the money back?
I'm not doing anything wrong, this is just a genuine question from somebody who is a bit worried about google.
I'm just worried about cashing the cheque.

If they sent you a cheque, there was no fraud for that timeframe.
Go ahead and cash them.

If you're doing nothing wrong you have no need to worry. What else are you going to do with the cheques, they would make very expensive wallpaper

If you hold your checks for too long and they EXPIRE, you may not have to worry about cashing them at all. :D
Dude cash your checks.

Cheques expire over here (Not too sure about the US or spain) in 6 months... 1 month left buddy ;)

They don't close peoples accounts for no reason - but they do close peoples accounts for reasons they don't disclose.
As has been said, if they sent you a cheque your account is in good standing. Pay those cheques in asap, as they do expire (I think the default for US cheques is 180 days, but I might be wrong).

I'm 100% not cheating google but after reading some stories on the web about people not knowing why their accounts were stopped I just got a bit worried, I'd hate to cash the cheques only for google to turn around and say they want their money back, I'll cash the cheques at lunch time.

Even when accounts are closed, I have never heard of them asking for money back....Just keeping what hasn't been paid out

would they demand the money back?
The moment they send the check, they've committed to paying you so cash it. They won't ask for that money back.

People who have had their adsense accounts cancelled know WHY it was cancelled, they just won't admit it. Google just doesn't pluck random sites and say "you're gone" without cause.

I have been cashing Google checks since AS's inception, without a problem. As long as you're playing on the good side of town your OK. The horror stories you hear are, more times than not, completely justified. As SE basic says your bank may have a check expiry time period...but you'll know that when you go to cash it. I wouldn't wait too much longer though ;)

People who have problems with the account are not always telling the truth. Google doesn't explain the details in most of the cases, especially when the case is clear.

Over here, only the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) can audit previous periods and demand back taxes.
Google are not the IRS. Far from it! :)

1. Once check paid, they cant revert it back.
2. How can you wait too long to even deposit the check, I do it the next day, I receive the check. Hehe!!

If you violate tyhe TOS too many times you get booted. Sometimes they may let you back in, but it is rare.

Just to re-iterate what everyone here has already said you should cash your cheques, Google withhold payment for up to one month before releasing the cheque anyway which gives them time to
1/ Gain extra interest from the money
2/ Satisfy themselves that no fraudulent activity has taken place
So when you receive your cheque, do what we all do...get it straight down to the bank!
