I've searched through old posts... is there no way to show itemized prices when emailing a quote?
We do alot of quotes for wireless installations & we end up either snail-mailing or faxing quotes to both existing customers & new potential customers. It's pretty lame for an ISP not to be able to email something - the only way I see is to send it one of our addresses, edit, copy, paste, etc.... VERY time consuming.
What do others do?
If not now, will this be possible in the new version?
Thanks,
Marian McCurdy

I am completely confused.
In "the new version" of what?
What are you using to e-mail quotes?

if you create your quote in Microsoft Word you can choose File | Send To | Mail Recipient
I often print the quote to Adobe PDF writer and attach that. That way it's a bit more official.

After creating a quote in the Contact Manager, choosing e-mail (rather than Preview or Print) the quote is sent to the e-mail address listed in the contact's information area - the problem is that the e-mail arrives with 0 for all amounts for all items. - the e-mail function in the Contact Manager /Quote frame works, but does not put any amounts (other than 0) in for any items.

No, the internal quotes in the contact manager are really just for recurring services.

Shawn,
Is there any way this could be changed when you're working on the redevelopment? Our wireless installation quotes have multiple one-time items, the customer naturally needs to see the breakdown and it would be great to be able to email from the contact manager. If invoices show itemized detail, couldn't a quote also do this?

Did we get an answer to this post? I am interested in creating a quote using billing items we have in Optigold however I need for customer to see price of each line item not just a total. Also, can we have misc. fields that we can edit, for example, we would like to put a disclaimer at bottom of quote and we want customer to sign off on quote and send back so we would like a place for customer to sign off on and date. Also, can the quote show the creator's name on the quote as well as company information ( address and phone nubmer)

Not going to happen for the currently version... may happen in the redevelopment.
