After much heated debate in myspace sites sales threads, I decided to look into my server logs to find the definitive answer. My observations are:
- images are not counted as pages, only as hits
- cursor files (.cur and .ani) are counted as pages as well as hits.
Therefore, unless your site serves a large amount of cursor files, your awstats page loads will be a fair representation of your real page loads.
