video website script

I been browsing around and saw that the youtube script is one of the most popular video sharing community script

But i can't afford it based on the fact that i have to get a dedicated server and all that just to get ffmpeg installed etc

so i'm looking for an alternative.

i'm currently hosted with godaddy..shared hosting....
so i dont think i need something that complicated

i want something that can allow visitors to upload videos

And it's not like an entier website
just for the video/music video section for my site

I suggest making something in PHP, read some tutorials on making upload forms here:

I have the YouTube script, but I couldn't figure out what 'ffmpeg' was. It's messing up my script because it won't work. What do you know about it? Please PM me with any information.

For running ffmpeg you dont need a dedicated server, all you need is a virtual private server. The cost being nominally high. For any stable hosting even shared you need to shell out at least $7.95 but for about $10 per month you could get a VPS and install any script you like viz.ffmpeg. Plus you enjoy the benefit of not having to share your resources with anyone else, have complete control over your Apache server installation.

i knwo there are simple mods that allow you to integarte imageshack.us inside ur forum so ppl can upload images withiout leavig the forum
why dont u search for such options with rapidshare.de ? or do you realy want to stream videeos inside ur own site ?
