Would DPer's kindly offer an appraisal for a1-outdoors.com (http://www.a1-outdoors.com)? (there is a subdomain as well: Outblog (http://www.a1-outdoors.com/outblog)).

That's a shocker of a domain mate. Sorry to bear the bad news. Even without the hyphen it's reg fee.

dcristo - sorry, not familiar with all this. "reg free?" Shocker of a domain?

Can you explain what you mean? Thanks.

Just remember, shocker = very bad :)

Generally, domains with hyphens aren't worth much if your are just valuing the domain, even with good keywords. Even moreso with domains including numbers. You use hyphens for SEO reasons, which is not the case with this example.

Hope this helps.

Hmm. Interesting, I didn't know that. I had thought that hyphens were essentially a non-issue, so the SE's essentially read "a1outdoors.com".

The keyword is bad, because it is so generic?

That's exactly the point mate, who is searching for "a1 outdoors"? Use of "A1" in domains is for brandability reasons, in which case you don't want a hyphen.

Gotcha. Thanks for your comments.:)

If it's just the domain name, I'm afraid I have to agree: typically, two things really devalue a .com -- numbers or hyphens. Having both together, even if they are combined with a keyword, makes the domain virtually worthless in the resale market.

Thanks again.
