Hey,
I have an auto getting about 5000 uniques a month (which is good for me)
so far im getting about $2 a day through adsense.
80% of visitors are from USA
15% from Australia
5% other
Most visitors would be male aged between 17-26 years old.
what do you think I should promote?
does anybody know of a program where i can sell nissan parts or performance parts like turbos, intercoolers etc.
thanks

We have a huge collection of Celebrity Posters (www.iceposter.com/posters/) and Auto Posters (www.iceposter.com/posters/cars/) at our shop and free datafeed to promote them + great flash banners!
Men like our site as they usually purchase a few girls posters + car posters.
So please consider joining our Posters Affiliate Program (iceposter.com/affiliate_program.html). :p

you should try some CPA promotion targetted at your audience there are plenty of them out there, free ipods, free maxim or stuff, ringtones etc.. i bet it would perform well.

hey there druzilla I am in the same boat with you I run an auto informative website and outside of adsense there are no other ads. I picked a niche I liked and it is hard to monetize. Outside of adsense which is not doing me any good I dont know what do. I have looked at affiliate programs but what do you market that is the problem I am having. Maybe we can be auto buddies.

these sound like good ideas. I have a fairly new site that isnt established yet would you recommend such switching from auto news to auto insurance and loans. The keywords word for this market are highly competive I thought about that when starting the site but now that trying to monetize with barely no traffic is hard.

one CPA that may do good is the survey to win a Mustang GT (maxbounty) the other was a nascar vs indy car survey that they got a giftcard for completeing.

Thanks for the push. I hope the 3 yahoo datacenters that slurp content everyday pay off for the switch.

the only problem i can see with the auto insurance is.
the car my site is about is very rare in the US. (Nissan Skyline's)
should i still promote auto insuarance from USA companies?
Or should I promote Australian auto insuance companies even tho i have less visitors from Australia. The conversion may be higher.
I think promoting stuff like this would go well as they can be distributed worldwide:
radar trackers
in car entertainment (tv/dvd systems, speakers etc)
Foot pedels, steering wheels, gear knobs, racing seats etc i think would go well.
Mag wheels
All performance parts for nissans
etc.
any more ideas?
thanks for the offer iceposter, i will have a look at it
thanks
Drew

Try adding more pages with topics that may interest your visitors. The you can try adsense & affiliate programs on those new pages & see if you can get better results.

There are several very active Nissan forums such as nicoclub.com you may want to use for exposure.

druz I saw your nissan site and I liked it. I am a car guy like you and to be honest I wouldnt be buy anything or click any insurance of your site. Your site has good content honestly I wouldnt want to leave. I loaded my site and saw my ads I was like these are garbage ads.
Now if you could craft your content into a way it could lead to an affiliate link that might work. I would try to target affiliate that offered accesories.
Example write a new article about the latest inner cooler offerings and suggest places where your readers can pickem up.
I feel like you are the same boat I am in you picked a niche you like but now are finding the money is not there for the small guy.

There are quite a few skylines in Australia, mostly older (early to mid 90's) though.
