I have a website for 9 months now, and get around 50 visitors a day from organic Google search and I do get more traffic from other sources as well. This seems very low especially when I know that I have done a lot of SEO on it. My website has PR 2 currently. I revolve around 50 visitors a day from organic search for the past few months now and it is frustrating since it does not seem like it is going to increase. How many visitors do you get from organic search and how can I improve this?

Well you might have done SEO but it also matters that how you have done it. Also do some keyword research first find out keywords that are less competitive and get decent searches. Then start doing SEO again and remember doing SEO is not that easy your results will completely depend upon what you do and how you do.

I get a whole heck of a lot more than 50. What niche is your site in it and how are you in the SERPS? Are you in the top 10, 1st page of google? There might not be a whole lot of traffic/searchers for your particular topic...

Well it also depends for what keywords do you rank high for. If you rank no.1 for a keyword who nobody searches for then its no use you wont get any traffic.

Yes, I do rank in the top 10 for about a dozen keywords, but they do not get much searches per month. My niche is pretty saturated but I am not sure how other websites in my niche rank so well for some premium keywords when their sites have no more content than me. What they do have is over 15,000 inbound links. I have about 500 inbound links. How do you get 15,000 inbound links since it is a lot? Are they using blackhat methods or something I don't know about? How can I rank better for specific keywords? I'm willing to spend time if it will show results.

That's the reason they are ranking high for their sites for those competitive keywords. Take a look at where they are getting links from with tools like yahoo site explorer, backlinkwatch.com or another backlink checker.

My advice: go for natural linkbuilding, any Black/Grey Hat can and probably will come back to bite you in the arse.

OK, I found the sites that link to them, but what can I do about it? If I want those sites to link to me they will ask for a reciprocal link for sure. I do not want to have 15,000 reciprocal links on my site. Also, reciprocal links are not valued by Google search anyways, or are they?

I get around 75% of my total visitors from organic search. It is a good ratio of visitors which I get from search engines but it is very hard to retain those visitors.

The number of visitor is depend on the niche/keyword. Some niche has more visitor search compare to another niche. The most popular keyword in game niche can generate much more traffic than legal niche.

Yeah, and how do you build back links that are one-way from sites in your niche, not just some random blog or forum? Let me put it this way, why would I link to you if I have not already and I'm in the same niche and I'm not getting anything from it? These big shots must be paying money to build their links which I think is against Google's TOS.

I have a blog that is part of my website and several websites do link to the articles I posted. How did the guy from plentyoffish.com build his links? :) He says that he did not need any marketing but I doubt it.

Create a list and share it with your readers! It takes a bit of effort but is well worth the effort =)

Currently, 41% of my traffic comes from Google. I'm in the middle of a SEO campaign again though, so I hope to see that number double within six months.

Is this site in your signature? How are you getting 3,000 visitors a day from pretty much search engines only? Is this an older site and does it have a lot of articles? As I started adding more content, I'm getting 50% more organic traffic, mainly from Google. I wish I had a team of writers that could just write new content for me every day so that I could publish 10 or more quality articles a day, but I don't have the money to pay all of these people. :)
