Curious how the "secured" check comes if you opted for that option. I should be getting some and was wondering how they send them.

My main account was enrolled in EFT but they said the amount was too much for the beta so they said they would do this secured delivery. (for free) My other accounts that are enrolled in eft have had money deposited already... So they come by fedex?

Hello,

Thank you for your email. As you're aware, payments by Electronic Funds
Transfer (EFT) are in beta. During the beta period, we've placed a limit
on the monthly amount that we will pay any single publisher by EFT. We've
placed this limit given that the bank control review process imposed on
bank transfers of high dollar amounts is stricter and increases the
likelihood of payment delays and/or failures.

The dollar amount of your payment this month is above our policy limit.

As a result, we've updated your form of payment to local currency checks,
which we'll send via secured express delivery for this month. You'll
receive secure delivery free of charge -- although a debit line for secure
delivery will appear on your Payment History page, you'll be reimbursed in
the following month. This credit will be visible within your account by
clicking on the 'Earnings' link for that month.

Please be assured that we're working to offer EFT payments for higher
dollar amounts in the future, and will let you know when EFT payments are
available for you. In the meantime, we'll continue to pay you with local
currency checks via secure delivery free of charge. We appreciate your
understanding.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

Google Says: "When your check is ready to send, we'll give it to a courier service for delivery - you can expect to receive your check within 5-7 business days after it's been sent."

Also, I heard it is sent via DHL and there is no tracking number. I'm also pretty sure someone needs to be at your house to sign for it.

That's probably what makes them call it, "secure". ;)

Yeah well most of the time UPS is supposed to make sure someone signs for a package but I end up finding it under 2 feet of snow in my driveway (true story). I hate UPS....

Yeah man. I have come home and found computers new in the box "outside" my front door(dealer, prepaid or on NET terms). They have new instructions now.

Those guys at UPS can be boneheads, but in general they always gave me good service.
