Is Yahoo! Groups not activating new Groups?

I tried creating a new Yahoo! Group but it doesn't get listed in YG search. I see a little message at top of group that says "Not activated" or something like that. I decided to delete the group and try it again a couple of weeks later. I still get the same problem. I have no problem creating the group, but once it's live it's not activated, ie: people can't find it through YG search. Does this have anything to do with the new MSN deal?

I would greatly appreciate a response.

Exactly. Yahoo Groups are pretty dead.

But do you know if they are not accepting new groups? Seems a little odd. All the replies so far are hearsay. No one seems to actually know for sure.
