Getting indexed in Yahoo and having traffic from that are two different concepts. The first one is easy to accomplish because by addition of links your site will begin getting indexed but the later case requires SEO.

In order to get traffic from SEs, you need to be in the top positions of the serps. Seo will help you to accomplish this. Need some hard work though.

Don't worry too much - I get 90% of my traffic from Google - Yahoo just doesn't seem to have the market share to send much traffic. How much Google traffic do you get?

I guess Yahoo don't provide traffic to most of the websites, or if it provides too then it is very less compared to Google and Bing (at the moment).

It could be a time wasting effort, if you are really looking to optimize for yahoo search engine and expecting some traffic.
It would be great to optimize for Google and Bing, as they are the major source of traffic these days.

i put less concentrate on yahoo because real example of my site shows that even my site ranked at #1 in yahoo, it only bring me less than 300 visitors per month compared to google which bring me about 3000 visitors to my site even it is ranked only on #4-7 in google for the same keyword.
