Makes no difference what domain extension you use. It's all the same. However, there are some directories that do not accept 4 letter extensions like .info etc..
I use sevral types of extensions for my sites and they are all doing very well.

No worries mate. I hope it goes well for you. Just keep building relevant links, submit to dir's and write some articles and submit them to article dir's too! You will do just fine as long as the site you have has fresh content.

Yeah, but im more interested on making a site to get profits, than on selling the domain, even though this domainame is not so bad to sell.

Well, if your main concern is making a website to get profits, it doesn't really matter whether you use .org or anything else. As long as you bring in the traffic and people are buying what you are selling, it will work.
In the past, there were restrictions to the .org domains but not now. Basically, anything goes. However, if you have the choice for the same name in .com then get it.

Thank you eddy, that's exactly what i wanted to know, if there was some sort of restrictions, i know now that its more recommended to get .com, the people is more used to it i guess, but in this case it wasnt avaliable.
