can i own a CO.UK domain if i'm not in uk ?

like for .us we have to be in USA , or provide an address ..

what about co.uk ?

You need to provide a British adress in order to register one.

I actually registered a .co.uk domain name from GoDaddy using a US mailing address. Then I moved it to Namecheap also with the US mailing address and it works.

yes this is why i'm asking , because i was searching for a domain name and found .co.uk from godaddy ...

I dont think so.. I have 2 .co.uk domains from 123-reg.. and I am from india

also if it cause problem i have backup , my friend have the same name that i have , same dad name ,and same family name :p

You dont need to live in UK to register .CO.UK domain. Even your address can be outside UK. Its not restricted like that of .com.au or .com.my. So you can register as many as you wish.
