View Full Version : Yahoo mail still the best compare to Gmail

highyieldbiz
Jul 13th 2009, 8:42 pm
For user friendly and many tools/options inside Yahoo mail still the best compare to Gmail, but I dont like the many scripts inside yahoo mail after saving the email. Gmail is terrible with its new javascript version, harder to browse compare to yahoo mail. But maybe others like Gmail for its free pop.

Well, that just depends on your choice, given the wide variety of tools that Google Mail has to offer me, i would rather use that then anything else :) the main reason behind that is that Google Mail has the options to support pretty much everything ranging from Youtube video links upto .docx or .pdf all in one place. Furthermore, Gmail has the option should you not like the Javascript version of reverting back to the old HTML version as well :)

It really depends on the user's choice..
I found Gmail as far better that the Yahoomail cos
the confirmation mail that I am waiting as register to some sites
will easily arrive on my inbox.

Gmail is more targeted towards the users those who are young, New comers

Yahoo! Facing its difficult times. They failed to grab the speed of google when compared to the innovations.

And GMail is out BETA version which favors the business community so i guess yahoo is almost out of the RACE.

But still i am holding my yahoo ID which i created 11years ago....

Google is far far better due to foll reasons:
Too many ads on Yahoo.
No POP3 support on Yahoo
Takes too much time
Have to type complete email to login.

And many more reasons are there........

I think you are right but both are equivalent we can say yahoo is bad or gmail is bad as they are both providing challenging services and are in competition but what is more with gmail they are famous and popular so thats why yahoo is below gmail. I personally use GMAIL!!

before gmail.. yahoo was giving 4MB and hotmail was just 2MB.
after gmail.. unlimited everywhere..

so i naturally support gmail.. no matter what..
google has a end-user-gets-it-free policy.. which is beneficial for most of us. Players like them make the market free and going..

How are you Here you say that gmail is easy but Yahoo is also easy with many useful tools and user friendly and messenger is best with voice and video. So I think Yahoo is the best. First Yahoo entered into this business then Gmail.

as a yahoo user you don't get all the emails. Sometime when yahoo decide something is bulk/spam they don't even process it. You will not even have it in the bulk folder. Lots of new mail servers are treated in this fasion simply because they are not whitelisted. As a user you may be missing important emails because yahoo decided not to deliver it. I've had problems in the past with clients that were using yahoo and did not receive some of my emails, or received them after over 24 hours. Imho this is unacceptable.

I think more thn 70% people use gmail..... as its simple and with awesome features. I personally feel it provide very good services!

I wish :) Make that 1% :))

I have Yahoo ... Gmail ... AOL and Hotmail

For my two-cents the easiest to work with is Hotmail with its folders to store messages in

Gmail is the best for spam protection

and then tied in third place is Yahoo and AOl ... the best known is AOL

The online interface of Yahoo is vastly superior to Gmail. However, Yahoo doesn't work very well if you want to use IMAP, POP forwarding, or setting up additional users. I have been a Yahoo Mail user since it was Rocketmail. Will never switch my personal email.

But Gmail is vastly superior when it comes to using it for your website mail, documents, etc. Google Apps is a godsend.

Not only for pop3 Gmail if full of features. there is a full range of available add on to it in the Google labs. It has autoresponder. it has far more better Spam guard.
My yahoo Inbox is full of 40% spam mails, While I found 1 spam in gmail inbox after every 1000 mails ..
Gmail delivery time is better than yahoo .. You can add more accounts in single and its standard interface is super fast. I recommend gmail only... Never forget gmail application tools.

I like yahoo mail simply because it maintains the simplicity of emails. There are several features you can add but they are optional. With Gmail, it's kind of the opposite. You've got to disable the features you don't want to use, and honestly, that's much of a hassle for me.
