View Full Version : Google indexed my site, why won't Yahoo?

I have been doing a lot of SEO work, gaining backlinks, social bookmarking submissions, and google finally ranked a site I was promoting after about 5 days. However, on both Yahoo! and Bing the site doesn't come up. Is there a special way to submit my site to these search engines to get indexed?

For yahoo =>http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com/srchsb/ssb.php
For bing => http://www.bing.com/docs/submit.aspx

Good luck with that.

As Green Cat said, you should submit your site (and your sitemap) to Yahoo in order to get indexed faster.

Try getting some backlinks, and wait, it can take time to get indexed. :)

Use sitemap to submit to bing... make use of their bing.com/webmaster tool.

Give yahoo and bing some time. If you have backlinks, they will come to index your site.

As they say to each his/her own, the same can be said for these search engines mentioned above, Yahoo and Bing have their own setup when it comes to site ranks :D give it a little time and you'll be ranked soon enough =]

You don't need to submit anything.

You just need some patience and eventually you'll be picked up.

yahoo algorithms are different than google, so you have to work according that.

I think u should submit ur site sitemap into google, yahoo and bing and don't forget to ping ur blog / site into ping service like pingoat or pingomatic.

I have never submitted any of my sites to either G or Y ... as long as you have a decent backlink profile they will index you. Some pinging as Gabung said helps 2!

Thanks for this I just hope it really works for me.
I know we are not all perfect in making SEO stuffs with our sites.
Sometimes we missed something that is really effective.

You don't need to worry about it. You keep doing your works and wait for the result, they will crawl you very soon. Once update your content if you are not crawled by both within 15 days.
