Why would a site that has bad meta tag efficiency, less incoming links, and a lower page rank, do better on Yahoo than my site which is optimised for the same keyword?
Am I missing something?

I found that my site had been submitted but not authenticated on Yahoo which is now fixed. Not sure if this will have an effect.
I get almost zero traffic from Yahoo, which is crazy, as the site comes up really high in certain google searches.
I know everyone says forget Yahoo and Bing but why should we? Why ignore something that brings traffic?
How can I get higher on Yahoo (or Bing for that matter)?

maybe their domain is better / more on target for that specific niche . . . by the way, I hope you arent talking bout one of my sites like that ! LOL j/k
and i just visited your third sig with the subdomain . .. if that is the one you are refering to then you might wanna check how many links you have on one page, also try the "different post" WP plugin .. . its free and then you choose how many pages you want displayed through out different areas of your site

The pages might have well optimized specifically for Yahoo! Did you checked the on-page factors that could be influencing the Yahoo ranking?

I think you must track his keywords and then build some good back links from yahoo answers too . Many guys says that yahoo answers help in indexing yahoo .
